The Höfer Group is represented at three sites

The original business founded in Umritz in 1932 for the production of pumice-based construction materials has been transformed over three generations into a mid-size company with a group structure. Today, the Höfer Group is represented at three locations: Urmitz (Rhein), Dillingen (Saar), and Hettstedt.

What is unique in the industry is the Höfer Group’s complete range of services as a one-stop solution specialist: from foundry casting, extrusion and downstream processing and finishing, through to transportation and logistics, including warehousing for some customers.

Our site in Urmitz am Rhein

This is where Höfer’s history began in 1932. Since this time, the family-owned and technologically advanced anodic coating plant has undergone continuous development. In addition to anodic and powder coating, the range of services was expanded in 1981 to include metalworking and edge bending. Today Urmitz is the location of the registered office of Josef Höfer GmbH & Co. KG (holding company) and the corporate headquarters of Josef Höfer GmbH (surface finishing and metalworking).

Our site in Dillingen (Saar)

The anodic coating plant in Dillingen (Saar) was acquired by Josef Höfer GmbH in 1995. Upon acquisition, anodic finishing was concentrated at this new site.

Our site in Hettstedt

The Group’s foundry is located in Hettstedt. Premium-quality extruded aluminum sections are also manufactured here in one of the world’s most technically advanced extrusion presses, commissioned in 2014. Other key operations at this site include profile finishing and component manufacturing. Processing is done to customer specification: drilling, milling on CNC machining centers, bending, punching, stamping, and component completion services are available here.
