In Hettstedt, HMT operates a high-tech, certified extrusion plant that is able to cater to a wide range of extruded profiles and sections and metal processing options.
Our 250+ team produces upwards of 20,000 tons of aluminum profiles and sections every year in our cutting-edge facilities. This output is enabled by two fully automated extrusion lines featuring extrusion pressures of 18 MN and 25 MN.

The aluminum profiles and sections that leave our plant comply with exacting requirements in terms of their precision and surface finish. Our independent extrusion plant supplies a growing international customer base, including the automotive and construction sectors. In order to satisfy these exacting demands, we have established an end-to-end quality management system based on IATF 16949.
Our equipment and exacting QM demands mean we are able to guarantee optimal quality and value for money. Our secret: one of the world’s most modern aluminum extrusion lines featuring a novel hybrid drive. This translates into unparalleled energy efficiency compared to all other conventional extrusion presses. We are also certified to ISO 50001 (energy management).
We develop new tooling technologies in close collaboration with our suppliers. By deploying precision tools we are able to achieve extended service lives, excellent surface finishes, while adhering to tight tolerances and achieving high productivity.
We are able to boost the efficiency in our extrusion plant thanks to continuous improvements in our process technologies. Our metallurgy expertise means we are able to develop new alloys to meet the constantly changing challenges posed in the marketplace.
